Removal of Moles, Skin Tags, Skin Irregularities and Lesions

There are two different ways to remove unwanted moles, spots and skin tags. One way is to use thermal heating laser technology to break down the melanin cells and prep the lesion for your body’s natural removal process. At AegisMD, we use the Spectra Q-switch laser to perform this procedure.

After assessing the lesion, Dr. Plaskos may feel that some moles and spots require further analysis. In this case, Dr. Plaskos will excise the lesion and send it for a tissue biopsy. This procedure may also be necessary in the case that the mole or spot is too deep to be effectively treated with a laser.
