A trusted advisor to her patients, Dr. Christina Plaskos is far more than a cosmetic and wellness advocate – she passionately leads the team of experts as the founder of Aegis MD, as well as the Skin-gestibles® and Lumisceuticals® product lines. She is determined to ignite change within her community, the wellness industry, and beyond by inspiring people to welcome each day with positivity rather than resistance. In doing so, she is on a mission to create a mindset shift from anti-aging to ‘pro-aging.’

Developing an inside-out approach to aging is far more than a specialty, it is Dr. Plaskos’s life work. Her journey towards understanding all aspects of total wellness began at the prestigious University of Toronto, where she received both her medical degree and Honours Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology.

A testament to the depth of her expertise, Dr. Plaskos is also board Certified in Anti-Aging Functional and Regenerative Medicine and has a Fellowship in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine from the University of South Florida. She is a fellow in the Canadian Society of Phlebology and has been performing vein treatments for over 30 years. Caring for people and families has always been Dr. Plaskos’ first mandate as her foundation is rooted in Family Medicine as she had a large and thriving practice in Niagara for 20 years.

Partnering with Dermapure Groupe in 2023, shared philosophies in aesthetic medicine allowed for a level of growth and reach in the industry that has pushed the boundary of patient care. With this, the latest technologies and innovative expertise can flourish under the Dermapure and Functionalab umbrella. Aegis MD, as partner of Dermapure Groupe continue to deliver natural results and improve all aspects of skin health, beauty and wellness.

With 30 years of experience in veins, cosmetic, skin, and wellness, Dr. Christina Plaskos continues to use her expertise to empower her clients not only by helping them look and feel their best, but also by teaching them how to age wholly and elegantly.

Dr. Plaskos’s dedication to total health and wellness motivated her to create a model that delivers the philosophy to benefit people positively. This inspired the creation of AEGIS, a skin care and supplement line to enhance the quality of life and support self improvement.

Greek for “protection”, the term “Aegis” succinctly captures Dr. Plaskos’s multifaceted understanding of health, and is rooted in her heritage.

This reference to “protection” reflects Dr. Plaskos’s unique ability to share her knowledge of total well-being with clients, and to teach them how to create their own “aegis” – or protection – from the inside out.
